Your Zoom profile has many settings that will personalize your experience. This article will cover these options:
Add/change your profile picture
Change your display name
You must be logged in to your profile to complete these settings changes. Free accounts are available.
Add or Change your Profile Picture
Open your Zoom profile by launching the Zoom app and clicking on the gear icon.
This should launch the Settings options. Scroll down to the Profile section and click on "Profile" and then click on "Edit My Profile".
This should open a browser window that will allow you to change your display name and upload a profile picture. The first setting we will change is your profile picture. Your display will appear slightly different from the one pictured below. But you will see the "Change" button. Click on Change.
Now you should see the screen that lets you choose a picture. There will not be a picture there unless you've already uploaded some. You will click on 'Upload' and choose a picture for your profile. Once the new picture is uploaded, you can move the highlight box around to get the look you want. Just click and hold down the mouse button and move the box until you're happy with the result. Click 'Save' and the page will return to the settings.
Congratulations! Your picture will now be there whenever you are in a Zoom meeting.
Change Your Display Name
In the Settings page on your profile, choose the edit button at the upper right of the screen; see below:
Locate the Display Name section, outlined in red below. Just type in the name you want to use in Zoom meetings.
There are many more settings here, and I suggest changing them one at a time, to avoid confusion if you change something and then want to change it back.
